A strategist and storyteller, Billy Otteman leads marketing at Scythe Robotics–the shop developing self-driving, commercial-grade mowers in Boulder County, CO. After an agency-side career leading innovation and marketing projects for a range of consumer brands and B2B clients, it was the vision of Scythe that compelled him to join the company. Now he's one of the 30 or so team members pioneering technology that can help us better care for the planet, starting with the industry at the forefront of green space management: commercial landscaping. As a lawn game fanatic and amateur endurance athlete, Billy spends a great deal of time in outdoor spaces himself and is thrilled to help reinvent how we maintain them.
